If you conspire to explode a nuke on US soil, I will not have a problem with waterboarding you to prevent it from happening. Even a less powerful conventional explosive that can kill thousands at a time. Satisfied?

How about if I just am going to kill one person. Would you waterboard me? What if you were only, say, 80% sure I was going to do that?

Where is the exact line on the severity of the crime. Where is the exact line on the certainty that the crime is going to be committed, and do you trust the government to make that determination? What if the government oversteps it's bounds and uses torture as a political tool (as many, many government have and still do).
