Thomas, at this point I would sign up with anybody who can offer better than 28.8 and doesn't charge me by the minute (ISDN does). I have been fighthing with Nynex about ISDN charges. The point is, you may wait for DMT, but the RBOCs won't.

Now that Texas Pacific split off GlobeSpan from Paradyne and GlobeSpan which kept the technology intends to license it to other companies, the argument of CAP having a single source is out the window. That was a smart move on their part and I haven't seen too many smart moves from the DMT camp lately.

By the way, I heard Orckit may be doing CAP as well as DMT, so now we have just AWRE & AMTX committed strictly to DMT. The list of CAP licensees is growing much faster than DMT licensees. This doesn't mean they won't license DMT sometime in the future, but it does indicate they all think CAP will be the winner in phase one. I have to believe these companies know something more than we do.
