Do you support the enemy soldiers killing our soldiers. Ours, after all, have killed some of theirs. Do you support the enemy in doing what they can to expose classified US security, after all, we do what we can to gather intel on them. Do you support the enemy having strategies that destroy our military operations, we have, after all, done that to their operations.
C'mon now fair is fair ... on that logic, however, we should do what the Pirates of Somalia have done and intend to do, AQ has done, Saddam, Kim, and Amadenijad have threatened. I don't support equity in treatment wrt enemy relations. Threats of annihilation, terrorism, general mischief, and deadly combat aren't games of playing nice. Khadafi learned that when Reagan was president and that worked out well.
I don't support torture, however, because it contains a sinister element. We shouldn't destroy our own house to prove we are tougher than the one's attacking it. |
