Upcoming HR bills that have me concerned. A recent email from Megavote(An automatic email service that sends me information on how my states Senators and Representatives voted on bills and lists upcoming bills) prompted me to look at other bills coming up. Here's some of what I found that concerns me.

Looks like they’re putting in another hate crime bill before the other one is even voted on. H.R.256 David Ray Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009 - To enhance Federal enforcement of hate crimes, and for other purposes. [url]http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h256/text[/url]
Here’s one that’ll make it OK for more govt. workers to harass and arrest us. H.R675 To amend title 10, United States Code, to provide police officers, criminal investigators, and game law enforcement officers of the Department of Defense with authority to execute warrants, make arrests, and carry firearms.

Fark me royally, here’s a piece of the H.R.675. This doesn’t make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Does this mean that MP’s and prison guards will be able to arrest us?
(a) Authority- The Secretary of Defense may authorize any law enforcement officer of the Department of Defense
(1) to execute and serve any warrant or other process issued under the authority of the United
(2) to make arrests without a warrant
(A) for any offense against the United States committed in the presence of that officer;
(B) for any felony cognizable under the laws of the United States if the officer has probable cause to believe that the person to be arrested has committed or is committing the felony;
(3) to carry firearms.

SEC. 201. NATIONAL ADVISORY COUNCIL. (a) Establishment- The Administrator shall continue to maintain an advisory body to ensure effective and ongoing coordination of Federal preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation for hazards, to be known as the National Advisory Council.
(b) Responsibilities- The National Advisory Council shall advise the Administrator on all aspects of emergency management.

(aa) Firearm Licensing Requirement
(1) IN GENERAL- It shall be unlawful for any person other than a licensed importer, licensed manufacturer, licensed dealer, or licensed collector to possess a qualifying firearm on or after the applicable date, unless that person has been issued a firearm license
(A) under title I of Blair Holt’s Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009, which license has not been invalidated or revoked under that title;
(B) pursuant to a State firearm licensing and record of sale system certified under section 602 of Blair Holt’s Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009, which license has not been invalidated or revoked under State law.
