Upcoming HR bills that have me concerned.

A recent email from Megavote(An automatic email service that
sends me information on how my states Senators and
Representatives voted on bills and lists upcoming bills)
prompted me to look at other bills coming up. Here's some of
what I found that concerns me.

Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009 -
H.R.1913 The following link will take you to the actual
text of the bill

Looks like they’re putting in another hate crime bill before
the other one is even voted on.
H.R.256 David Ray Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009 -
To enhance Federal enforcement of hate crimes, and for other
purposes.

Here’s one that’ll make it OK for more govt. workers to harass
and arrest us.
H.R675 To amend title 10, United States Code, to provide
police officers, criminal investigators, and game law
enforcement officers of the Department of Defense with
authority to execute warrants, make arrests, and carry
firearms.

Fark me royally, here’s a piece of the H.R.675. This doesn’t
make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Does this mean that MP’s
and prison guards will be able to arrest us?

(a) Authority- The Secretary of Defense may authorize any law
enforcement officer of the Department of Defense

(1) to execute and serve any warrant or other process

committed in the presence of that officer;

(B) for any felony cognizable under the laws of the
United States if the officer has probable cause to
believe that the person to be arrested has
committed or is committing the felony;

(3) to carry firearms.

H.R.1174 as Introduced in House
FEMA Independence Act of 2009
YEYESSSSS, give them more independence and less
accountability, and don’t forget to throw in some extremely
vague cybersecurity provisions

http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h1174/text

‘SEC. 514. ASSISTANT SECRETARY FOR CYBERSECURITY AND
COMMUNICATIONS.
‘There is in the Department an Assistant Secretary for
Cybersecurity and Communications.

SEC. 201. NATIONAL ADVISORY COUNCIL.

section of officials, emergency managers, and emergency
response providers from State, local, and tribal
governments, the private sector, and nongovernmental
organizations, including as appropriate

(F) experts in public and private sector infrastructure
protection, cybersecurity, and communications;

Don’t forget about the H.R.45 Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009
http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h45/text

(aa) Firearm Licensing Requirement

Record of Sale Act of 2009, which license has not
been invalidated or revoked under that title;

(B) pursuant to a State firearm licensing and record of
sale system certified under section 602 of Blair
Holt’s Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of
2009, which license has not been invalidated or

And now for some bills that will benefit Mr. and Mrs. J.Q.Public.

Citizens' Self-Defense Act of 2009 (Read sections 2 and 3)
http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h17/text

H.R.197 as Introduced in House
