I think this action is relieving a lot of pent-up pressure. There may not be a sound fundamental reason for a reaction of this degree--Asia, or whatever. But, drastic as it is, it probably feels good to a lot of institutional traders--it even feels good to me, despite my upside positions being rendered worthless. I'm willing to pay some money to clarify, stabilize, and solidify market sentiment. When we finally find a bottom--we're all going to have some fun. I think the market wants to be sure it finds a REAL bottom, and so do I.
