Florida state senators and Gov. Charlie Crist say a move to open up state waters to offshore oil drilling has run out of time in the legislative session. That and it's a third rail of Florida politics. A poll shows most Floridians support more off shore drilling... but I don't think Charlie Crist wants people on Clearwater Beach looking out at a drilling rig and thinking of him. And if there is a spill you can bet Floridians would be in the mood to throw the bums out, poll or no poll.
