Win95's financial success is due to mono., & will not be repeated. Office, installed once, will last for another 10 years. Explorer cost it a bundle, thanks for Netscape. It didn't win over Intuite, & couldn't buy it either. It didn't win over Oracle in db. Novell's NC is still the standard.
Selling tickets, coffer, & cars etc, even on W3, could not maintain a PE>50 for very long. Providing content is Hollywoods' business, & MSNBC is last of big-six. Building global network is AT&T' business, & there it has not started yet.
Anyway, lawyers & competition hurt bottom line. That is what MS is running into.
