If I want to watch shows, I can get a dvd on any subject I want to know about and the local library has a bigger stock of popular videos than BlockBuster. See I am a socialist when it comes to some stuff, free stuff at the library.

We recently subscribed to Netflix, which now has about 12-15k titles available via streaming. Most of these are documentaries and older movies, which I watch a lot of. For ~$8/mo, it is one the best entertainment values I've seen. And the newer stuff still comes on DVDs. We have a PC attached to our TV for other reasons, so it was kind of a natural.

As to libraries, I think their days are numbered. The Amazon Kindle has totally spoiled me; it is difficult for me to envision ever buying a hardcopy book again.

My firm used to audit some libraries, more than 10 years ago. I don't think I've been in one since I used to do those board meetings.
