FOX was smart enough to figure out that the conservatives had nowhere to go, plus a lot of MOR types were sick of the Liberal slant.

If any of the three Nets took the FOX approach, they would double their morning and evening ratings and triple their income. They are not dummies. They know this. But they would be ruined socially if they did it, and they want to be able to "do lunch."
