You made my point for me. FDR's New Deal has brought this country to its knees -- with 10s of trillions in debt we can't pay, a nanny state for which there is no turning back.

We've got people like you and bentway who think you're entitled to government giveaways, with your hands out rather than getting off your asses and making it on your own.

At the end of his first term FDR looked great. Unemployment was being brought down -- although artificially and at great government expense. The people didn't realize they were kicking the can down the road. They were not informed.

At the end of his second term, the American People had had it with him. However, they could see the war was coming, and would not have considered changing presidents at that time.

His next two wins were solely because of his excellent war performance. Which, I might add, were a result of the same kind of strength and commitment GWB had, not the absolute anti-American wimpism of Obama.

Don't dare mention FDR. FDR would be spinning at his grave at Obama's Apology Tour.
