I thought No Drama Obama never got ruffled. How come we're always told he was furious about something or another that he knew or should have known about all along? Last time it was the AIG bonuses that made him furious. It was entirely insensitive to conduct the flyover without warning to the public, but they will not give advance warning of a low altitude flyover because bad guys could get set up to shoot down the planes. So the answer is that a glamour shot of this nature was just unnecessary. Not only did it cost public treasure for a partisan purpose (Dems and Obama reelection publicity), but it was just another example of the Obama 'do as I say not as I do' approach to environmental protection.
