I use a $14.99 MS keyboard, and as a programmer, I use it a LOT. Last one lasted me 4 years. Why should the government get to waste money just because 'its the White House'?

That's also part of the problem. Government officials thinking because its the White House, it has to cost a lot? I do agree with Republicans and others that say the government should be run as a business, with more austerity and realization that it's OUR money.

As for the Pope, I agree have a lot MORE credibility if he did get his wardrobe from Salvation Army. He'd look more in line with that carpenter he's supposed to be representing.

But, unfortunately, it's become a show - both religion AND politics.
