Why aren't you clamoring for single payer auto insurance for example? === Not a bad idea. In Hawaii over 25% of drivers have no insurance and another huge chunk carry the minimum. Seeing it is mandatory here, i find it amazing that cops can stop for DUI, seat belt, etc. but never catch anyone w/o insurance....
