GST, i'll bet you are older than 30, too. ;-)

iow, it is in your self interest that health care is now considered the "public good."

it surely isn't good for a teenager. in fact, it is terribly bad for them.

if you ask a healthy 18 year old making $10/hr if they want to be forced to pay $800 a month to support people who s/he already supports through social security, they obviously won't want to (in general).

after all, they know good and well that social security taxes are charity and nothing else - they won't receive a dime.

the only thing they will receive from this generation, the one that is now asking them to foot their health care bill, is the bill for all the other bad deeds this generation has hoisted upon future generations.

death isn't a bad thing b/c future generation would likely imprison us as criminals and fiscal terrorists - and they'd be right to do so.

iow, it is a mess so big we won't get out of it alive. if the middle class gets out of this without going into total poverty, that's a big win.
