.And perhaps it did....but does anyone know if the same info could have been received from other methods? The brits and the nazis both felt these techniques were unrealiable in WW II. They went other direction. And explain why the military leaders were opposed it from the start? Because they know what could be done to American soldiers in return. And they don't trust the results.

Sorry. This is nonsense...The protocols established by the Bush Admin for these techniques do not amount to torture....

Getting the info saved lives and was crucial to helping the Bush Admin. decimate Al Quaida, as acknowledged even by Obama's own guy Blair (along with other knowledgeable officials in the gov't, present and former)....so the "we should have used other methods" claptrap in the context of the time when it was thought another devastating attack was imminent is the proverbial dog that don't hunt.....

As far as worrying that more harm would come to American soldiers....that is equally bogus ...look at the facts. American soldiers were kidnapped, tortured and/or summarily executed by these animals long before all this became public knowledge.

This whole debate is bullshit. And it will be devastating to the ability of the intel services to do their jobs....which makes us all less safe in the long run.

This is where Obama lost me. Amateur hour can be tolerated for some issues....but not this one. His policy represents a clear and present danger to us all.
