Yep.

I too vastly prefer seeing such things reported in the format of "annualized rate of change" --- it simply tells the reader something in a way that is much easier to grasp the import of the news.

Also... much prefer to see economic statistics reported as "Y-o-Y" (Year-over-Year) numbers, as opposed to "seasonally adjusted numbers". (When they report a "seasonally-adjusted" figure they often leave out the 'fudge factor' - the amount of the seasonal adjustment, leaving the number they are reporting incomprehensible gobblety-gook at best... and deliberate propaganda at worst....
