2 km high is quite a bit. More breathing needed, more haemoglobin, deeper lung penetration, more pollution and lung irritation, better access for H1N1, plus genetic susceptibility due to less pig-minding among Spanish/Moslems hence less genetic filtering by such viruses over the millennia. Northern Europeans who have lived, breathed and eaten pigs for eons are more compatible with more viruses, carrying them without dying. Is that the idea? Launching satellites from such an elevation would save a lot of fuel. Maybe Mexico City should go into the business. Mqurice
