CGLD & a few other miners new coverage:Dahlman Rose & Co. Initiates Coverage of Emerging Gold-Silver Miners
10:10a ET April 30, 2009 (PR NewsWire)
Dahlman Rose & Company, LLC, today initiated research coverage of five emerging gold-silver miners, including Alamos Gold Inc., Allied Nevada Gold Corp., Capital Gold Corporation, Gammon Gold, Inc. and Minefinders Corp. Ltd. The report, titled "Golden Opportunity: North American Junior Gold Plays," identifies investment opportunities for investors seeking to gain exposure to mining assets that the market may currently be undervaluing.

According to Dahlman Rose research analyst Adam P. Graf, the five companies featured in the initiation report are among the best investment vehicles in the space and offer both value and attractive leverage to future gold and silver price changes.

Mr. Graf assigns the following rating and price targets in his report:

-- Alamos Gold Inc. (TSX: AGO) with a HOLD rating -- Allied Nevada Gold Corp. (AMEX: ANV; TSX: ANV) with a BUY rating and $12.27 price target -- Capital Gold Corporation (OCT: CGLD; TSX: CGC) with a BUY rating and $1.40 price target -- Gammon Gold, Inc. (NYSE: GRS; TSX: GAM) with a HOLD rating -- Minefinders Corp. Ltd. (AMEX: MFN; TSX: MFL) with a BUY rating and $13.13 price target

Each company is discussed in detail in the initiation report released this morning by Dahlman Rose & Co.

Mr. Graf joined Dahlman Rose in September 2008, and focuses on emerging metals and mining companies. He has worked as an Equity Analyst since 2001, when he began his Wall Street career as a research associate and analyst at Bear Stearns. He had previously worked for major mining companies in the American Southwest. At Bear Stearns, Mr. Graf was a part of the Metals and Mining team led by Anthony B. Rizzuto (now at Dahlman Rose). He left his job at Bear Stearns in 2005 to join Federated Investors as a Senior Equity Analyst. Mr. Graf received his Bachelor of Sciences degree from the University of Michigan, his Masters in Sciences in Economic Geology from the University of Arizona, and his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Arizona.
