I think that Henry Niman was saying more or less the same thing as the report you cite.

If you saw Henry's interview, you were left cold because he suggests that the pattern is pretty similar to the 1918 flue epidemic in that it surfaced in a more or less mild form in the spring and summer, then mutated into something deadly during the winter. Of course, there were no vaccines then.

We are going to have to act globally, whether we like it or not. Unprecedented efforts will have to be made to develop a vaccine, manufacture huge amounts of it and distribute it to the masses.

China's huge population is particularly at risk because it appears that the virus causes a severe autoimmune response. Young healthy people are paradoxically much more at risk because their immune systems are the strongest. China has a young, healthy population. It is best to be very old or very young when attacked by this bug.

The Yen short is working nicely, btw.
