Why is helping the homeless the low end?"
Helping the homeless isn't the low end it is admirable as I indicated. It is likewise admirable to and important to encourage achievement, productivity, education, growth, education etc. Michelle's activism at any level would be admirable. I said I would like to see her activism at the high end as well, that is the high end of the socio-economic strata. When people are successful at the high end they can support the homeless, according to the model she is encouraging. The high end of socio-economic achievement is where our society either succeeds or fails as a member of the Global economic community.
The homeless demographic represents the low end of the socio-economic strata: low income, low achievement, low productivity, low community contribution, low rates of stability, low rates of mental health, low rates of sobriety, low rates of physical health, low rates of employment.
Get the picture.
Yes, I get the picture, and I don't like your terminology. What you call the high end is where all the crooks that screwed up the banks and Wall Street hang out; the guys who messed up the auto companies. They don't look high end to me......and if they need help which they do, let them go to a shrink for that help.
And what you call the low end is where the real help is needed. Its why M. Obama is focused there instead of partying with the upper crust. Its more than admirable......its more than what most first ladies do when occupying the WH.
By any chance is your middle name Marie? |
