No, they see a rock star, a savior. That's not the same thing at all. Yesterday, I heard a local news broadcaster refer to his "cool swagger" while the film showed him walking to Marine One. Maybe, its the pimp roll they like. <g> BTW, he still gives a limp wrist salute to the Marine standing at attention by the stairs to the aircraft. I'll bet that UW and LB are very impressed. It might be a good idea for him to have his "military advisor" (the guy who approves flights over NYC at low altitudes) show him the correct hand and arm movement in a military salute. Alright, I'm being tacky, but M.G. Caroll O'Connor did not salute any better in "Devil's Brigade", an entertaining WWII flick, circa 1968. And Obama is essentially an actor.
