I believe I was thinking of a modified paleo diet that that someone had told me about, was at about 30%.

It would be feasible, I think, to take the Paleo principle of eating only food available to cavemen and apply it to a balanced diet, which would set protein at about 30%. You'd have to eat a lot of avocados and nuts, though, to get enough satiety and calories.

My diet is a combination of Adkins and Paleo. They're easy enough to reconcile. More compatible if you eat grass-fed beef, but I find grass-fed to be a tough row to hoe.
