A final arrow in Netanyahu's quiver is the ability to enlist American public opinion, which is traditionally supportive and sympathetic to Israel, against Obama's Grand Middle East Design. He will seek to canvass support among friends in the US Congress and the Jewish community. This, of course, is the key. The only way they could force this on Israel is make them keep the negotiations secret until Obama has his way. The Chrysler bond fight shows how thuggish the WH is. Congress would revolt on this deal. I can't believe the American Jewish community would stay with Obama if he tried this. This has to presuppose a fairytale view of the Arabs. Absolute disaster if he forces something like this though.
