Another item I recall is a cartoon of a couple of bedraggled soldiers back from the trenches, looking at some tarted up HQ types strutting around in their spiffing uniforms complete with many ornaments, one of the diggers saying to the other, "Cor, look! Soldiers!!" It was just a cartoon, but made a fair point.

There's more to military success than saluting, square bashing and wearing spiffing uniforms. Obama isn't a soldier and needn't pretend to be one by getting too prissy about saluting.

I asked Google for some images. They look good enough. One of many: images.politico.com

It seems there's obsessiveness about finding pathetic little inconsequential details about Obama.
