Kenneth, a good understanding of Federal Law has nothing to do with interpreting the Constitution of These United States.

The job of the Justices of the Supreme Court is to protect people from Federal Law that hasn't roots in the constitution or is simply against consitutional principles.

Lately, all appointees have been Court of Appeals judges. We should get somebody with a broader perspective. Barbara Boxer has a good understanding of federal law.
