He spoke as if the Supreme Court Justices would be presiding over criminal or civil suits on the manor or their merits and have them lean with their emotions toward some rhelm outside of law.

The Supreme Court doesn't preside over those cases. The Supreme Court interprets the US Constitution and determines if a law or act violates the Constitution. They do not make judgements regarding civil litigants or criminal judgements accept in cases where the US Constitution may have been violated or disregarded in the instant case or previous actions.
