Those are interesting anecdotes Lindy. Reagan was a good president mostly because he knew that acting was the main part of it. Obama is a very good actor. It's easy acting the part of something which appeals anyway.

There is a lot of attention to absolute trivia. Nero fiddled while Rome burned and people are worried about which side Obama parts his hair and whether the angle of his little finger is West Point graduation saluting standard, while $trillions are going down the gurgler, wars remain common, Iran gets Islamic nukes to back up Pakistan's, swine flu kills millions [just kidding], water shortages plague the planet [just kidding], the world runs out of oil [just kidding] and Global Warming fries us all [unless the glaciers get us first].

I doubt this one Lindy: <pelted off the dock by shillings thrown at them by the soldiers. > More likely they were pelted with pennies. A shilling was a serious piece of money in WWII. Maybe there were a couple of shillings thrown amount the copper coins, but doubtfully more than a very few.
