Pools are quite biased and also include those parts of the population who are completely financially illiterate or do not have IRA or 401K

I am not a believer in Gold as a hedge for inflation the market cap is small there are plenty of other commodities which will better reflect inflation and USD depreciation - any commodity index ETF will do

As I posted it is a wrenching issue and I try to diversify in other currencies BUT I am still dependent on banks which give me sleepless nights – I wish I knew a safe solution but I do not – one more venue I am trying is to buy agricultural land in Eastern Europe in EU countries (Bulgaria and Romania) assuming food will be always in demand
