Another anecdote. This weekend we went to a church bazaar in Bethesda, MD, which tends to be a habitat for the more well-do-do.

As we walked through the parking lot, I called out the make of the cars, "Mercedes, Mercedes, Honda, Honda, Volvo, Volvo, Toyota, Toyota."

Not one in fifty was made by an American manufacturer. The ones which were made by GM or Ford appeared to belong to the employees, e.g., cleaning crew or maintenance.

But my bankruptcy clients all drive Jeep, GM, Ford.
