Wrong as usual, Kenneth... Bob Dole, who was also not a lawyer? For your reading pleasure: Dole's study of law at KU was interrupted by World War II. After the war, Dole returned to being a law student. He attended the University of Arizona from 1948 to 1951 and earned his degree from Washburn University School of Law in 1952. Dole ran for office for the first time in 1950 and was elected to the Kansas House of Representatives, serving a two-year term.
