>> racism is dead in these disunited states.

Once again, your own racism is apparent.

There are two key lines in that story you found it uninteresting to highlight:

a) "In my mind it was the lack of evidence to tie these kids to the serious charges that they brought," defense lawyer Frederick Fanelli said."

LOL. That was the defense attorney speaking......what did you expect him to say? Furthermore there was no question that the teenagers committed the crime.

b) "Prosecutors alleged that the teens baited the Ramirez into a fight with racial epithets".

Item (a) above tells the story. The prosecutors didn't prove their case.

Item (b suggests that while the prosecutors alleged a mild racist connection (simply shouting racial epithets may or may not be racist, depending on the circumstances. Moreover, it is not apparent from your quoted article that there was evidence to prove it true.

My God, you don't even understand why I made my claim that there was racism involved. Calling the guy a Mexican slur was the least of the problem. It was the white jury's turning the murder into a simple assault that was the true example of racism.

How can we have a discussion on this subject when you are so far behind?
