The financials are punishing those short the sector. WFC supposedly needs more buffer money. Is someone pumping up the banks so they can sell stock to raise capital?

My Cali friend said the stimulus money there is making a larger difference. Businesses are hiring, restaurants are picking up and public works is hitting the streets.

I was in San Diego for a week and I sure didn't see that at all. More homeless than any US city was my impression. The boats for leisure are docked and not out at sea.

I remain 90% cash as I am having trouble resolving this v-shape bounce on the bottom. So I will nibble here and there but staying mostly cash for now.

The S&P 500 seems to want to break the 900 level. Maybe it will.
