Actually, I'm not familiar with him making that claim, but Wilson was himself pretty close to a fascist.

Forget the reviews. Why don't you read the freaking book? If you don't like it, there is plenty of other excellent research on the subject.

It really is pretty much inarguable if one understands anything about economics (I realize that leaves you and SD out). You obviously can't heap all these costs and restrictions on employers and not expect it to tamp down employment. That is as fundamental as economics can get.

But there is far more to it than that. I realize it isn't your area of expertise, but it might be worth opening your mind up to the idea.
