Many of us, I would venture all the more conservative types on this thread, don't want or need government to run our lives for us. You, tejek, Al, Michael, and the others -- you guys can't run your own lives so you want someone to do it for you. It is personal independence versus the nanny state. You need a nanny, I don't. And I don't want to pay for yours.
