the cheap hit was then recommended by several. Does it make someone feel superior? Fulfilled? It baffles me. Me too, but there are whole threads devoted to just that, and many others where it's a big part of their posting volume. Makes them unreadable, IMHO. But I don't think anyone hangs out there to be provoked by new ideas. It's just a closed self-congratulatory circle. That's fine for those who want it. But you'd think they would be concerned about where their movement stands in terms of political power and the ability to implement their policy preferences. Maybe it's just a symptom of capitulation. Nothing will change for a while, maybe years, so the clubhouse is all they have left. It was different for Dems since they almost knocked off Bush in 2004 (the 60,000 vote margin in Ohio) then gained ground steadily after that. It's easier to be constructive when you see progress compared to the wilderness and oblivion.
