A nation simply won't have the resources to give the best possible medical care to everyone.

This gets back to skinowki's post concerning eaglitarianism in medicine. Ultimately, some kind of "tiered" service is going to happen, if for no other reason, there are people out there who have the money to pay for something better than government will ever be able to provide.

People who want radical change to our health care system are just not using good judgment. I'm starting to think even Obama recognizes this and perhaps he won't go for the Big Enchilada of socialized health care. I know it is where they want to go, but anyone looking objectively at is knows there is a huge gamble involved.

I think it will turn out like Gitmo -- a lot of talk, but in the end, the new president will conclude that it just isn't doable.
