| It's amazing how different these things work in different countries. In my country, you can have poor parents, get a Ph.D. degree without having any debt, and live a full life debt-free. Almost no people live without payment/credit cards, but most people only have 1 or 2. I only have 1 but should probably get myself a second. Health Insurance is a non-issue, student loans are spent on designer furniture, but the disadvantage is the tax percentage. The biggest expenses are cars and housing, but health care is free, nobody needs a lawyer and insurance is almost not significant in the overall budget. The disadvantage? Expensive cars and income tax. One of the hot topics in politics right now is, how the communes, who pay the health care bills, can bring down the health care costs by helping citizens to live a more healthy life. |
