This may be KMart all over again. The company announces the stock is worthless just before the open. The stock opens and the price starts rising on heavy volume. After about an hour of this, with the hosts of CNBC incredulously commenting on how bizarre it is, David Faber comes on and bluntly says "Are you people idiots? They just told you the stock is worthless and you're paying a buck a share?" Only then did the stock price finally start going down.

If retail investors will pay a buck for a worthless stock, how much will they pay for one that's worth almost two cents? GM stock is going to $5 tomorrow!
