In case nobody noticed, the market *was* down 554 points today.

And the Prescient Comment Of The Day Award goes to the following analyst who said, when the market was down 350, trading having been suspended for the first time in history:

MANAGEMENT: ''I'm hearing that a bunch of sell orders are piling up on some of these trading desks. If this puppy opens up at 3:05 that gives us less than an hour to drop another 200 points . . ."
