i believe you misunderstood me

i prefer rock and concrete abode, preferably textured, and heavy gauge windows, doors, fixtures and trouble-free roofing, etc, and my preference is independent of geography, which means i prefer non-quake zone abode

do i mind living in a stick home if i had to? not really, but prefer not to have to pay cost of it if at more than 50% of an equivalent rock and concrete abode.

otoh, i prefer permanent freehold land ala usa, and they are not available in hk

however, the property tax in hk reflect leasehold rreality, at a low low rate of less than 0.05% as far as i can make out, which is considerably cheaper than what i am aware of in usa
