SO...I guess, if we hadn't had the Civil War you would have thought it O.K. to continue slavery until enough states got together to amend the Constitution? When would that have been you think?? "Dred Scott" was the latest Supreme Court decision on it and that came in 1857. Do you think the court would have turned that decision around real quick??
