Uh, the bond auction that didn't go well actually determined what the 30-year yield was (it went at about 4.28%), so how can you say that the auction wasn't the cause of the rise in rates? Obama's been talking about multi-trillion dollar budgets since January 20 and to the market, it's just a number. It doesn't move markets. But whatever, it doesn't really matter now.
