…...Better suited for rural homes without cable, but with 3G wireless connectivity???

?

The way I understand it, Femtocells are to provide cellular coverage in weak residential areas.

Rural homes that have 3G, don't really exist in great abundance. (At least not in my experience.)

But a Femtocell would give them cell coverage through cable or DSL. I would also bet DSL is the dominant internet connection for most "rural" types, so most likely Femtocells wouldn't replace their landlines.

For 3G areas without DSL or Cable, I would bet on the MiFi being a handy device.

Either way, both are, for now, low density, higher margin items, $200-$300, that Q has been promoting as a decent growth business. I suspect it's the margins more than the sales that drive those expectations.
