WOW, this may take all night...

>>>BTW: Have you gone to work for WSTL or Paradyne?

Very funny Jim...;)

>>> And I suppose WSTL and Paradyne have a couple 100 thousand ready to just hand over tomorrow and deploy ?

You and I both know CAP is way ahead at this point vis a vis the 4 points you agreed with.

>>>If companies (Bigger Fish) do produce DMT modems they will be buying some of Amati's Technology IMHO. You don't develop an ANSI standard DMT modem overnight or in 6 months without help.

There will definitely be revenue stream to Amati, at least in royalties. In terms of help, I am not too sure, perhaps they will ask, but would they have to pay for it? Has Westell asked for Amati's help?

>>>I believe that Europe and the world knows more than the companies licensing CAP!

Well, that's an arguable point. Europe's decision to go with ATM didn't do much for ATM's success elsewhere. But I do agree that Europe doesn't have the same time pressures and would prefer to go with a standard.

>>>Unfortunately the U.S. has a large dumb consumer base.

This isn't about the consumer base. This is about telcos being under time pressure and DMT not being ready for prime-time.

>>>Ok ! I admit (as if it were not already known ;-) I'm bias on DMT. But has WSTL kidnapped, and brainwashed you? Just kidding!

Jim, you should remember how strongly I feel DMT is the superior technology, but that won't matter when it comes to business decisions.

>>>P.S. Do you know a Bill Shoultz ? (last name probably misspelled)

I am not very good with remembering names. Should I? It kind of sounds like the name of a consultant who used to work for me a while back...:)
