They violated the terms of the ceasefire agreement which caused us to leave after the Gulf War. That breach of terms, taken alone, should have been sufficient to cause us to invade. Unfortunately, we had a liberal president who had no backbone when it occurred.

But I've never maintained that we needed a justification. At all. Obama was handed a relatively peaceful Iraq which could have been part of the solution to Mideast problems. At this point, due to his absolute incomptence, I'm not sure what is going to happen.

It appears Obama may have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in Iraq.
