A picture is worth a thousand words

All those fails being covered, then the fails in treasuries spike... and then the Fed jumps in and the treasuries get covered. The assets at the Regional Fed Banks balloon.... huh?

When the SEC started enforcing the rules because the perps were cannibalizing their own, these BD's had to be acting in concert... or they all had the same idea at the same time.

Short the securities, and take the money to buy bad assets and pay big bonuses. When forced to cover, the money comes from shorting treasuries which the Fed covers by buying from the banks the bad assets which are dropping in value as the economy continues to decline. Where did the Fed get the money to buy the assets? How did the Fed Bank of NY manage to increase its assets 300% in a few months?

These numbers are incredible..
