But actually after the FIRST gulf war, Cheney was mouthing the genuine wisdom of Bush #1 about not getting messed up with Iraqui politics, etc.

I think Cheney is a lot more of a magnifying reflector of presidential wishes than he is given credit for.

I think this will come perfectly clear when historians dig into the documents of both periods.

If you could be thought of as being the controlling power of world destiny, wouldn't you be willing to accept that status? That's what Cheney is doing.

Of course, this is my take on things which is so contrarian that the contrarians are contrary to what I think.
