I wouldn't go so far to say that Obama's actions have had no effect; obviously, when the loudest voice in the Universe changes from bashing the economy to claiming it is on the brink of turning around, you'll have an effect.

But the spending? Nope. It really hasn't begun yet in earnest, and when it does, its benefits will be offset by increased debt and inflation.

My belief is the entire thing was blown out of proportion in the first place, and now, it is merely being used as an excuse to move to socialism. Never let a good crisis go to waste.

For a brief time -- a week or two -- I believed the "crisis" was real. Now, it looks like a steep, sharp drop with a recovery that is apt to be as steep and as sharp. Without an ounce of government intervention.

The trillions these people have committed are wasted taxpayer dollars, and the result of that will be inflation -- perhaps inflation that makes the Carter inflation look trivial.
