Neostem Warrants (NBS-WT)

Here's a biotech warrant that's intriguing. Let's see: cell stem research and an ambitious business plan, including the firm's plans to enter the China market.

One Amex-traded warrant gives the holder the right to buy 1 share at $6.00 through July 16, 2012. The stock price has moved sharply upward in recent days, closing at $1.94 today. The sporadically-traded warrants last traded at $0.035. I'd expect a warrant price closer to 10+ cents under the circumstances, IMHO. Looks like the warrants can be redeemed if the shares trade at $8.50 or higher for at least 20 trading days out of 30. I like the risk/reward dynamics here (share price is currently 38.8 times the warrant price), plus the fact that the warrant has more than 4 years of remaining life.

Tons of risk in any biotech startup like this one, it goes without saying, so performing due diligence on NBS shares is critical. Thought I would alert everyone to this warrant. I'm looking at the underlying shares closely and am not an NBS-WT warrant holder as yet.
