To All--{SERIOUS REVISION} There have been a number of excellent suggestions to Peg and I about how to structure our thread after a wonderful launch yesterday. We borrowed Doug R's famous blender, put all the suggestions in and used the "compromise"setting. Here's what we came up with. We will track 3 portfolios--$.01 to $20, $21 to $30, and all the rest. Each Saturday or Sunday one of our volunteers, in a city that has access to the early distribution of Monday's IBD, will report the new 99ers and those from our portfolios that have dropped below RS 95. We decided that to keep up daily was just too much to ask of everyone. There will be new 99ers appearing during the week, as Brian has stated, and they should be duly noted on our thread, but they will not qualify for our portfolios unless they make it through the week as 99ers. We will continue our policy of buying 100 shares of each new 99er and keep a running tab on the percentage gain in each portfolio. Peg has the mechanism for this already in place. Now, as for our original list, reported on Sunday, we discovered it was grossly in error. My TC2000 data is old and is only updated once a month as per James Strauss and my call to the company. They used to update daily but it increased downloading time 3x's. So we must rely on IBD and the good will of our contributers for the accurate data. I went through today's IBD and will post on the next reply the updated beginning list as of the close of trading on Friday. This will give us an outstanding view of how these 99ers have held up during todays action and what they will do in the future. We are interested in hearing about those stocks that look like they are approaching 99er status, and hope all will alert us to them as it will help our study of how a stock becomes an exhaulted 99. But, to be in our portfolio, they have to make it to the top.TBC(to be continued), Myron
